Faithful Pooch Waits For Dead Owner To Come Back Even After Five Years

For the past five years, a loyal dog has been waiting for his owner to come back for him. He has endured the harsh weather, living in a car park with no roof over him. Sadly, what the dog doesn’t know is that his former owner will never come back. He died from cancer and didn’t even have the chance to say goodbye to his pet.

Assistant

Da Huang was a stray dog in China when Mr. Shen found him wandering in a parking lot near a residential complex. Mr. Shen worked as the attendant of the lot in the city of Shenyang, northeastern China’s Liaoning Province. The dog frequented his workplace and one day stole a bite from the attendant’s dinner.

Instead of getting mad, Mr. Shen took pity on the dog and decided to adopt him. He let Da Huang stay in his office and hang around him while he worked. The kind man would regularly give the stray dog food and would clean him up.

For the next three years, Mr. Shen and the dog spent their days together. Da Huang stayed in the office at night and would wait for his owner to come back the next day. He knew exactly when Mr. Shen would arrive. he would wag his tail and when he sees him arriving from afar.

Da Huang also served as his assistant. He would guard the lot and bark at unfamiliar people and vehicles that go to their territory.

Cancer

But then, Mr. Shen was suddenly diagnosed with cancer. It was too late when they detected it. it was so widespread by that time that he had only two weeks to live and was too sick to go to work.

The dog didn’t understand why his dad stopped coming for work. Nearby residents said that they saw Da Huang constantly waiting. He would even wander around looking for him. But he never strayed too far.

For the next five years, the poor dog waited and waited. He never left the car lot for too long. And at 4 pm, he would be right there. This is the time when his former owner would come in for work.

There was a time when someone took him home, but he escaped and came back to the lot. Sensing that the dog really wanted to stay there and wait, the locals were touched and built him a shed. They would also give him food and water.

They wonder how long the dog would wait.
