On his way home, Thomas McCallum noticed a Pitbull on the side of the highway. Being a dog lover, Thomas couldn’t ignore the poor dog so he pulled over and took the pup home with him.
Thomas noticed that Boomer, the Pitbull, had a badly wounded eye which was probably why the dog was scared of Thomas. He immediately brought Boomer to the nearest vet clinic to make sure he was alright.
At the clinic, Boomer was examined by the vet and was prescribed ten different medications. Thomas felt like he needed to take care of Boomer so he offered to foster him and help him find his very own forever home.
Boomer kept his distance in his new home. He would likely just stay in his bed to sleep which made it clear for Thomas that Boomer needed time to heal.
Journey to forever home
Once Boomer was off his medication, Thomas felt that it was time to introduce Ruby, his other dog, to Boomer. Boomer instantly wanted to be friends with Ruby but Ruby was a bit hesitant at first.
Luckily, after a few days, Thomas saw Boomer and Ruby playing with the same toy. Eventually, the two pups ran around and played together non-stop.
Boomer and Ruby became best friends that did everything together from sunbathing on the deck to snuggling on the couch. Thanks to Ruby, Boomer gained the confidence to grow out of his comfort zone.
Thomas saw how much Boomer had developed then decided that it was time for him to find his forever home. Thomas along with Ruby searched everywhere and found the perfect couple that had a very active lifestyle.
The couple instantly fell in love with Boomer despite his wounds. Although it was hard for Thomas to let Boomer go, he knew that the couple would give him a life he deserved.
