Peekaboo puppies welcome mom home through dog-sized holes in the fence. Anyone who owns a dog knows there’s nothing more heart-warming than the welcome an owner receives from their pet after a day outside. Although sometimes, dogs get a little too wild and excited when they say hello. They bark, jump, and even try to clamber over the gates and walls to reach and greet their dog parents.
One dog owner came up with the perfect solution to let her get through the front door without all the chaos. Erin Joyce from Melbourne, Australia, created six dog-sized holes in their fence for her two canines. She customized two big circles to fit their noses and placed two smaller sets above each for their eyes.
The dogs can peek through the holes behind the safety of their garden and stare out onto the street. While returning home from work one day, Joyce decided to film the adorable moment and share the clip on the internet. In the video, two excited dogs rushed around the front yard as they sensed their owner’s car.
Joyce slowly parked beside the fence while her two beloved pooches went crazy with excitement in the yard. Seymour, the Brittany Spaniel, jumped up and poked his nose through the hole as soon as the vehicle stopped.
A few seconds later, the Kelpie Dingo cross named Billie joined her brother and peeked through the other custom-made opening. The doggy duo stood behind the peephole for a few seconds to give their mom a proper welcome. After Joyce greeted the two pups, Seymour and Billie whined as if to complain about how long it took her to come home.
The video became an instant hit and racked up more than 13,000 views and 1,300 likes. Joyce’s brilliant idea inspired many to make holes in their fence for their dogs at home. Someone recommended painting the wall a Halloween theme. The dogs can look like ghosts when they peek through the hole.
