Man finally reunites with his stolen service dog.
Service dogs are more than just companions; they are part of your family who looks out for you every day. Depending on what they are trained to do, service dogs can be a matter of life and death for people with special needs. That is why when Bobby Linville lost his service dog named Baby Girl Blue, his life was turned upside-down.
Baby Girl Blue, an 8-month-old Husky mix, was stolen from Linville when his van was stolen. From a parking lot in Virginia Beach. Without his trusted service dog, nobody could alert him of his seizures and panic attacks.
According to Linville during an interview with Tamara Scott, a reporter for 10 On Your Side, he doesn’t care about his stolen van as it can easily be replaced. He is more concerned about his service dog, Baby Girl Blue, who is irreplaceable. Linville was fighting back the tears during his interview, clearly distraught about the loss of his beloved companion.
Fortunately for Linville, as soon as the news story aired, staff at the Norfolk Animal Care Center. Had the dog in their shelter a Norfolk Police Officer had brought it into the shelter. After a week of being separated from his beloved dog, Linville was finally reunited with Baby Girl Blue. This stolen service dog had a happy outcome.
Before the reunion, staff at the Norfolk Animal Care Center made sure to give Baby Girl Blue all the necessary vaccinations. Baby Girl blue has been implanted with a microchip so that it will be easier to track her.
After the emotional reunion between Linville and Baby Girl Blue. Linville set up a GoFundMe to replace his stolen van. But for Linville, nothing is as important as getting back his beloved service dog, Baby Girl Blue.
